12/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street, London. Good pour. Nice malty, chocolate, fruity aroma with a liquorice edge. Bittersweet. Decent body. Exceeded expectations.

It is a classical British porter, I could say neutral, easy to try it, less aromas than a fuller porter, not bad at all.
28.06.17, at Prélaz, purchased at the ex grain d'Orges, Crissier.

Half-pint, cask ale, 5.8 % abv, at The White Swan in Islington (JDW). Deep dark brownish body, tiny beige head, spotty lacing. Inviting caramel malty aromas added by herbal hops. Fine balanced taste of brittle caramel, liquorice, and note of leafy hops. Lightly roasted ending. Medium bodied. Pleasing (London, 02.03.2026).

Bottle at home, koszi Tomi! Pours deep copper with a thin, off-white head. Nose is pretty held back, showing some malts, dried fruits, metallic notes, and esters. Taste is low nutty malty, some fruits also appear, has that metallic touch again, but basically that’s it. Light, or even thin body, soft carbo. Meh.

Roasty with subtle UK hopping, sharp mouth feel, strong carb.. Crisp piney hops, bready malts. Brown sugar and cereals. Not bad, not awful. Juts OK. Strong bitterness, light fruit.

Was interested i the typical English Porter, this is a bit simple, dry, and a pure commercial brew, and tbh not that good…
