Bottle. Lactic lemon, barley malt, and grass aroma. Medium yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Body on the light side.

12oz bottle. Filtered pale yellow-tan body. Thin, glass rimming head. Has a pretty classic doughy brewhouse aroma. The taste is a little on the sweeter side than say, Pilsner Urquell. I’m not sure why they would up the ABV to 6...seems to not really fit the style so well, almost gives it a Strong Pale Lager thing going on. Still has a nice true taste, better than most US Pils of any variation. Doughy, earthy lager notes. A subtle beer, probably not one I’d seek out again, but a nice addition to the Lagunitas line up for sure.

Draught at Bar Pilar. Bright yellow color, thin white head, massive lacing. Aroma of white pepper. Taste is only slightly bitter, medium body, medicinal finish. Not bad, but pales in comparison to the Czech original.

Draft pour at special brews brewers night. Pours blonde with no head really. Small hops and corn on the aroma. Corn and grassy flavors. Never been my style here, so consider that when I say I’m not a big fan. Not too bad though. Drinkable.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a nice pale yellow body yielding a decent one finger white foamy head that appeared and lasted for thirty seconds before slowly dieing into the body.
The smell had the hops in front with faint lemon in the background. Some cracker/biscuits amplifying a sly balance.
The taste was exactly the same as the aroma with a mediocre sort of blended aftertaste.
The palate was light bodied with a crisp sort of sessionability about it. Good expected Czech pilsener harshness that bit into my tongue a bit more than I thought it would, eventful to say the least.
Overall, given that there is a ton of better Lagunitas beers out there, honestly, this wasn’t too bad, I had to re-visit this a couple of times to get a good feel for it.

12 oz bottle, just expired. Aroma is doughy, floral, Pixie Stix. Pours clear golden with a large off-white fluffy head that sticks around forever; leaves some soapy lace. Taste is both malty sweet and hoppy bitter, the way it should be. Highly carbonated with a medium body. Excellent pils!

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

12 oz. bottle. Pours pale gold and clear. Has minimal head that is a frothy off-white and diminishes quickly. Aroma is sweet, bready, and has some citrus (orange??) undertones. Taste is a good balance between lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Carbonation is average. Finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Overall, I really like this beer and don’t really have much to complain about, other than I find it to be a little expensive, for the quality level it is.

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours clear pale golden with a small frothy white head that leaves a small trace and some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet, tiny malty and tiny herbal with white bread, butterscotch hard candy, persimmon, lemon zest, moist grass, cereal and hints of lemon balm. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, tiny malty and tiny herbal with white bread, crackers, cereal, persimmon, lemon zest, cape gooseberries, buttery wood, grass and hints of moist green herbs. Mouthfeel is crisp, clean and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and herbal with crackers, white bread, lemon zest, grass, pine needles, persimmon, dry wood and lemon balm.
