Bottle at Drie Dorstige Herten. Aroma of mild roast and subtle berries. Smooth taste of milk chocolate, mild roast, but almost no berries. Nice though.

Bottle @ home. Quite dark brown to black or at least very dark blue colour with a small beige head. Smells roasty, rusty, iron, sweet, hint of liquorice. Tastes liquorice, roasty, quite a lot coffee. I don’t get a lot of fruityness in the taste, but the coffee/moccha is quite nice. Medium body, nice carbo. Pretty nice aftertaste, didn’t expect this.

Sampled @ Tilburg Bierfestival. Very dark brown to black color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly dark malts, roast and indeed some (sweetish) blackberry in there. Taste malts, again roast, and again some blackberry with a touch of fruitpeel bitter. Flavor and aroma are quite well done but the body is a bit thin. Decent attempt though. Interesting beer that’s worth a try.
