Bottle at home. Aroma is rich malt, caramel, big resinous hops, lots of pine resin, sweet ripe orange. Flavour is medium sweet and nicely bitter with a long bittersweet finish. Slight booziness. Body is medium to full, nicely rich and thick. A bit expensive but rewarding!

Draught@Craft Beer Helsinki 2019. Deep reddish brown colour with a small off-white foamy head. Aroma is pine, toffee and some slight wooden and mild herbal notes. Flavour is pine, toffee, some tea leafs as well as mild spiciness, alcohol and some wooden tones to it. Alcohol suits in well, and gives a quite warming feel to the beer.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Oljenkorsi, 20180716) The beer poured deep copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel, grass and pine. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, pine, caramel, toffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had caramel, malts and bitterness. A rather bitter brew but still rather drinkable.

Bottled 355ml (Alko web)
Deep ruby-amber colour, small beige head and some lace. Resiny, bready, hoppy aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Resiny, piney bitter, caramalt, bready maltyness. Sweetish but bitterness cuts most of it. Alcohol shines thru somewhat. Classic example of American Strong Ale. Likeable.

Solid red hop monster, a deep, sugary mix of caramel and toffee malts and a vicious amount of piney, resinous IBU vitriol. A bit of a one-trick pony, juxtaposing the gooey sweet center with a bone-dry, endlessly bitter back end without developing much other complexity in the flavors, but both sides are done well, and the creamy, slick texture’s absolutely amazing. (Hard to grasp how a beer this smooth could be 10%.) I do wish the hops brought forth a little more citrus, maybe some dankness to play off the caramel, but damned if this pint isn’t disappearing fast as hell despite my issues. Caramel nose with a touch of booze, and the appearance is gorgeous, a deep red-orange with a neverending beige head and multiple strata of lace. Tasty beer.

Draft at Mellow. Pours a clear amber with a finger of foam that lingers. Very light nose, bit of pine, orange. Smooth and well balanced. More orange popsiclevas it warms. Bitter, piney and nice.
