An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

90% opaque black pour, with a medium beige head. Big, boozy roast, with a solid amount of raspberry sweetness and jam. Mouthfeel is silky, carb is soft. Finish has a big raspberry kick, some raspberry jam flavour, some big coffee roastiness with some light chocolate. Pretty nice stuff.

650ml bottle. Jet, black colour with small, very dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Chocolately dark malty and fruity aroma, sweet-ish notes of raspberry, hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, cocoa. Taste is slightly dry, minimally woody, slightly chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity, hints of raspberry, papery, almost medicamentous and mineral overtones. So-so.

Good beer, not even close to great for an imperial stout. For the abv it's not complex enough. Portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
