An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of raspberry notes, roastiness, malts and syrup. Taste is sweetish, malty and roasty with some raspberry and syrup. Finish is sweetish, roasty and juicy raspberry with some syrupy notes. Okay.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, oily, earthy, rusty. Light smokey hints. Also hints of liquorice and black coffee. Light bitterness. Only very light raspberry notes. Warming finish. Not bad.

Bottle from Berts. Tastes more like a chocolate covered raspberry than a stout. Aroma is all berries, taste brings in subtle roast malts, but berries still dominate. Sweet and a bit of fruit on the finish.

Bottled@Tommyknocker, Helsinki (2012 vintage). Black colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, liquorice, some raspberries and mild wooden notes. Flavour is raspberries, toast, some syrupy and wooden notes along with quite strong hopping to it.

650ml bottle. 2012 vintage. Near black colored, thin brown head. Raspberry, marmalade, dark chocolate,pralines, orange. All this in aroma. Flavor has raspberries, dark chocolate, vanilla, roastedness. Lingering finish, lots of raspberry notes. Very pleasant.

Voluminöser Malzantrunk mit deutlich steigenden Röst- und Karamellnoten. Himbeeren isn dklar erkennbar und fügen sich gut ein, zuerst im Vordergrund, dann unterstützend im Hintergrund. Schokolade, reife Frucht, Espresso. Langer schokoladiger Nachgeschmack, Vanille. 11/12/12/13//13

Fast schwarzes Bier mit einer schönen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig nach Himbeeren, diese überdecken die Röstmalzigkeit, sowie den Kaffee. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, deutliche Himbeeraromen, viel Kaffee, Vanille, erst zum Ende wird das ganze schokoladig, gut!

Black with a brown head - Raspberry aroma with dark malts and hints of coffee in the back - Raspberry flavour along with dark malts and some hints of coffee and chocolate - Berries and roasted malt goes into the finish with some bitterness as well - This was good
