This is our Ol’ Faithful. No, it’s not a geothermal phenomenon. It’s the beer everybody, including professional beer judges, just seems to dig. Maybe they like how it’s smooth, medium-bodied, and semi-sweet, while not too heavy or bitter. Maybe it’s the amber color, or the blend of four imported malts balanced by two Germanic hops, or the fact that it takes five weeks to get right. Or maybe it’s all the above.

Malts: Vienna, Pilsner, Dark Munich, CaraAmber
Hops: Northern Brewer, Saaz

20 oz draft at an airport bar in Washington Dulles Airport, VIrginia. The pour is a clear amber with a limited off white head. The aroma is caramel, toasted malt and a hint of grass. The taste is the clean Vienna malt, light grass and soft floral. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and the clean malt finish. Solid.

Copper color with a bread and malt aroma. Some earthy hop aroma. Taste is crisp, herbal hop, not overly bitter, with a bready and balanced sweet malt, caramel flavor.
