We aged our 10th anniversary beer in second-use High West Rye Whiskey barrels for close to a year, adding waves of oak and vanilla to the sherry/toffee/caramel profile of this old ale.

Bottle pours out a brown amber topped with a sand head. Nose is big sweet caramel smoke barrel and booze. Taste is more of the nice sweet barrel notes caramel malts.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2016. Pours a hazy earthy amber brown with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice barrel note with sweet grains, a touch of banana and a hint of roast. Flavor has sweet grains, a good amount of bourbon, some toffee and caramel coming through.
