Did you also like Sour Bikini - a light bodied sour pale ale? This is Nasty Trunks - a more full-bodied India Pale Ale. Expect bigger muscles, more bitterness, a beer that is desperate for attention - in other words such a nasty pair of trunks.

In der Nase grüngrasig fruchtig. Im Trunk mit angenehmer Säure, leichte Ananas, mittig dann bitter, hinten herb-trocken und nochmal etwas sauer. Spritzig.

Pours a somewhat cloudy amber from a can, minimal lacing. Nice tart lactose-y aroma and flavor. Good beer.

Can shared@Himmeriget, Copenhagen - yellow to gold coloured pour with tiny bubbly head. Light tart fruity with some citrus fruity notes of lemon and a squeeze of lime, medium body, light acidity into the hoppy light tart fruity close.

Pint can. Wine Warehouse. Batch #001 on the bottom of the can. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a dusting of a white head. Aroma is tart lemon, funk, hay. Flavor is salty lemondrop, hose water, funk, burnt sugar, sour tropical fruit. Not loving this.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, red/green apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, red/green apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness and lactic tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, red/green apple, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto funk, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and light body; with a very smooth and fairly grainy/sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent sour IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the mildly tart/bitter finish. This was not as sour as I expected of the label; but the Lacto adds nice mildly tart fruity flavors in balance with citrus/tropical hops; with a nice solid pale malt backing. This drinks like an east coast IPA with some added acidity. A very enjoyable offering.
