Tesla would visualize fully functioning inventions in his mind before even setting pen to paper.

That’s how a Mad Scientist creates a new beer — see it, smell it, taste it, then harness the right materials to create it. Now that’s Mad Science.

We harnessed the sun’s energy, channeled the power of malt, charged this beer with tons of hop energy and sent it surging around the globe. Think the juicyness of big doses of American Wet-Hops, with that clean snappiness of a cold fermented, meticulously lagered beer. How’s that relevant to Tesla’s shocking experiments? When there’s serious creativity flowing, everyone can feel it.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep gold to light copper with a finger of foam that lingers. Toasted caramel, grain and pine resin. Bitter on the palate, with more pine and some toasted biscuit and toffee. Dry and bitter finish. Almost like an IPA rather than a lager, still enjoyable.

Very crisp copper and deep golden coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of crisp grain, some subdued sugars, a touch of biscuits and yeast and ending with a cleanser-like and lightly astringent scent, most likely from the lager-y characteristics. Light-bodied; Grassy and very floral up front with a big hop kick, but not really any bitterness throughout. Some yeast, bread and light biscuity notes come out as well with some mellow sugars and a faint bit of spices and astringent notes near the end. Overall, a light-ish, but still showing proper hop and yeast characteristics, especially for lager. I sampled this twelve ounce tall can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 19-January-2018 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington across the street on 01-February-2018.
