This rendition of Bright was created to be a clean and elegant showcase for a pair of our favorite American hops - Simcoe & Amarillo! It is crafted with a simple malt bill and fermented with clean American Ale yeast to create a flavor profile that is more a function of its vibrant fresh ingredients than an expression of yeast character. Bright w/Simcoe & Amarillo’s aroma is a bounty of citrus, fruit, and pine. The taste follows suit with notes of clementine, grapefruit, and sticky hops with a gentle hint of lemon in the finish. She is dry, soft, and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable Double IPA.. classic and delicious!

Can: Poured a clear pale golden color ale with a nice white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus, tangerine and tropical notes is quite awesome. Taste is a refreshing mix of tangerine, citrus with some tropical notes, light residual sugar notes with limited amount of bitterness. Body is about average with good carbonation. Super enjoyable floral IPA which drinks more lightly then NEIPA with less residual sugar notes.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/27/2018. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7.8%. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Amazingly soft mouthfeel for the style. Perfect hop showcase as expected. Extremely juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, not overly sweet with adequate lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering.
