Welcome back our boldly hoppy pal. Legendary Cascade hops mix-it-up with assertive Simcoe for a powerful, citrusy and earthy foundation that is galvanized with a big punch of fruity Citra. This IPA packs a hoppy wallop!

Bottle. Great beer. But oh so tough to get through quicky due to the hops. It tastes like I chewed a bunch of hops all at once. Other than that, if drunk slowly, it’s great.

12 oz bottle-pours a 2 finger white head with gold/yellow color. Aroma is very aromatic, citrus&floral hops. Slightly musty. Taste is lemon, bitter light hops, sweet malt, alcohol. Oily mouthfeel, mild carbonation. Nice.

Grass and floral notes. Pours a nice hazy gold with conglomerate head. Sweet, light bodied and creamy. Very bitter (slightly tinny) long-lastig finish. The malt and hop flavors are dedicated to separate stages.

Cloudy gold with a thick white head like a quality wheat beer. The aroma has flowers and hops. Some complexity in the flavor. There are herbal and fruity hops. Considerable earthiness with sweet malt underneath. I couldn’t drink a lot of this, but I am enjoying a light hop burn right now.

Bottle. Light amber (cloudy) with a small head. Sweet hoppiness in the nose. Flavor is full of lots & lots of hoppiness, some fruitiness. However, finishes slightly skunky.

Very pale body, lots of small bubbles and a substantial, frothy off-white head. Aroma is great, heavy in hops and grapefruit. Flavor is pretty nice although relatively straightforward. A slight acrid/phenol-type flavor that is very fleeting, but interferes with the blending of sweet and bitter flavors.

This beer is a staple in my IPA collection and I am surprised that it has taken me this long to get around to rating it. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright bronze color with a small yellowish head. The aroma is very strong fruity hops. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The flavor is very strong grapefruity hops with a light sweet malty undertone that keeps this one from being completely one dimensional. The finish is rather floral. A very nice DIPA.

Bottle: Clear amber color ale with huge head with pretty good retention. Aroma of bitter and somewhat floral hops is definitely present. Taste is dominated by bitter hops as expected mix with very subtle sour ending which was enjoyable. Body is full ands carbonation is good which is more then I can say for other Victory products. Not over the top as other Imperial IPA and very well balance. Nice beer that I wouldn’t mind revisiting again.

It’s about time I got a crack at this one! Golden amber colour. Zesty citrus hops and dark malts. Hoppy flavour, surprsingly lean body. Evenly balanced and with floral hoppiness. My type of Imperial IPA.
