A solid DIPA with good hop flavor. The beer pours a medium amber gold color with a creamy white head and good lacing. The aroma is floral and piney, full of hops. There’s a hint of a strong, simple malt flavor in there, as well. The flavor is similar, lots of bitter hops and a good, sugary malt backbone. The hops don’t come through quite as fully as with the top DIPAs, but it’s still an excellent beer. It’s on the bitter side of the style, but it’s not quite a palate stripper.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Big grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with sweet malt backing. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with light earth and light malt.

Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grapefruit and pineapple feature in the aroma. The taste is crisp and hoppy with pineapple, grapefruit and a hint of lemon. It certainly doesn’t taste like it’s 8.5%. Easy to drink and fairly tasty, but nothing remarkable. I was expecting something slightly better.

Bottle. Boring, boring DIPA. Some nice sweet candy grape in the nose. The taste is nothing special at all. Sure hoppy but i want a little more malt/fruitiness/extreme hops in a DIPA for it to stand out among others.

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Very much what you expect for a DIPA from a hop head west coast brewery. Lots of hops, oranges and slightly oily.

on tap @ GIBF, really nice DIPA, good citrus/pine character, great aftertaste which is the real test for a DIPA, would definitely do it again.
