A beautifully aromatic and balanced milk stout with delicious notes of peanut butter, coffee, and dark chocolate. This dark, mythical beer nods to the long-passed legends of our region’s seafarers.

Draft at Brew Export, Birmingham. Poured a clear, almost black colour with a mostly lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty, big peanut butter. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, sweet sugary, nutty, caramel, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: milk chocolate, hazelnut, coffee roasty notes, coffee sweet notes and some peanut butter
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine roasty to sweet and nutty quality; finishes roasty and peanut buttery with some chocolate
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to medium, some sessionability; some smoothness and a touch of saltiness rubbing along the tongue but I kinda expected that to happen
Overall: for the most part pretty nicely done peanut butter milk stout worth coming back to.

Tap, courtesy of the LB guys. Jet black pour with a beige head. Nose is super intense notes of peanut butter, coffee, chocolate, and mostly hazelnut. Taste is similar but not as intense (drawback of using aromas), there’s coffee, vanilla, chocolate and nutty notes. A slightly more dry than expected but the body is still fairly smooth, and light, with a soft carbonation. Undoubtedly tasty but I’m still not a fan of aromas in beer.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Beautiful peanut butter aroma with powdery chocolate, milk chocolate, some roast, caramel. Medium sweet, light bitter, creamy body. Lovely, but I'm a sucker for peanut butter in my Stout!

Tap @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich peanut butter, roast malt, chocolate, caramel and has a nice sweet peanut butter finish.
