A beautifully aromatic and balanced milk stout with delicious notes of peanut butter, coffee, and dark chocolate. This dark, mythical beer nods to the long-passed legends of our region’s seafarers.

Can. Pours dark brown with a foamy tan head. Dark malt, dark chocolate, lots of peanut, bit of lactose. Would rate higher but not a fan of peanut or peanut butter flavored beer.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingman, 11/02/23. Black with a good sized lasting khaki head. Nose carries big peanut butter notes, chocolate biscuit, dark malts, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, nutty, dark malts, charr, light roast, touch of peanut bitter but not as much as on the nose. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid flavoursome stout.

Panda 🐼 at home big thanks to Wingman. An oily dark brown black coloured pour with a whispy mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, creamy cocoa, hazelnut spread, woody nuts, hint of soapy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody nutty dark malts, cocoa, bark, dark choc, some lactose sugars. Palate is semi sweet, woody tanin, moderate carbonation. Good.

16 oz. can from Whole Foods, Portland, Maine. Pours a pitch black color with a beige head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Peanut butter aroma. As stated on the can, good blended flavors of peanut butter, light coffee, dark chocolate, and dark malt. None of the flavors dominate the others. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Medium+ body. Low carbonation. Lightly sweet with a dry, bitter dark chocolate finish. Great beer. RateBeer top 50, and I agree.
