Bottle. Curious Hop, Otley. Clear, rusty orange. Blotchy, lively, white head. Aroma is syrupy peach. Fusty grain. Some flora. Bit of spice. Taste is soft bitter. Sticky sweet on the lips. Some piny bitterness on the finish. It’s decent, but not overly punchy or vibrant.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo webshop, consumed at home, Sunday 28th June 2015 Hazy gold light orange with wispy and filmy white head. A little floral and fruity on the nose with a touch of pine. In the mouth there are further floral and perfume touches, a dab of pine again, some citrus and a dry finish. Good if a little safe. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

355ml bottle from Ales by Mail
Pours copper orange with a smooth head. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel, pine and resin. Taste is smooth, sweetish and mildly hoppy with hints of grass and caramely malts. Finish is sweetish, stingy and grassy with hints of caramel and pine. Okay, quite malty and stingy grassy APA.

Pours out with a nice medium golden body, small creamy head, fair amount of lacing. A bit mild for a pale, aroma favors the malt bill. Even hops are on the lighter side, but do come off as crisp and dry. Judging by the name, this a summer APA, and the lighter nature bears that out as well.

2nd June 2015
Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and fairly crisp. Good hop fruits on the nose. Thin pale malts, not that sweet. Hops present floral bitterness, mild pine. Trace of orange peel and mild tangerine. The floral bitterness gets stronger before a fairly dry and pithy finish. Long bitter linger. Thin but robustly hopped.

Clear golden colour. Aroma and flavour both have a mix of fruity hop and earthy, piney hops. In both cases the piney hops are dominant. A bit furry on the palate.
