Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Taster from Dantomlinson - cheers! Bubbly white head on a lifeless pale lemon coloured still body. Medicinal aroma. Medium bodied, smooth. Grass, sweet fruit, confectionery, saccharin, cordial & lime tastes.

Okay somewhat creamy foam on a clear gold body, vague sweet bread on the nose. Flavour is grain and booze, adjuncts galore, all this in only four point seven percent. Seriously - badly brewed and awful in every respect, harshness like this should be rewarded with a huge alcohol hit of at least ten percent but you don't even get that.

330ml can from a vendor in Antigua on vacation. Pours a clear gold with a small, fizzy, long lasting, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of grainy malt and corn. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, corn and sugar with a mildly bitter grass finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation. An ok Caribbean lager.
