One of our first barrel-aged release traditions, Snakes in a Barrel is the sinister bourbon-barrel aged brother of Snake Eyes Imperial Stout. The dark, roasted, Snake Eyes is sufficiently aged to accentuate the charred caramel and thick coffee hints - bringing warming vanilla and sweet molasses notes from the barrel. Ages well in a cool, dark place

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 5 Oct 2019) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of sweet espresso, dark chocolate, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with black coffee, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and a generous coffee bitterness in a vinous finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich and tasty, quite warming. Very nice.

At SBWF 2019. Almost black with a small head. Sweet with dark malt, vanilla, bourbon and caramel. The body was full and the finish long with waming alcohol. A nice one.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo. Thanks John! Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Big bourbon forward nose with dark chocolate, cacao nib, molasses and oak as it warms. Smooth...maybe a touch thin on the body. A bit hot and boozy as well. Good complex stout notes with oak, bourbon, treacle, cacao nib and vanilla as it warms. Pretty solid BBA stout. I still enjoy the non-BA version a bit more.

Pitch black color. Tons of vanilla, oak, coconut, bourbon, dark chocolate, rich succulent nose. Low carbonation, tons of oak, vanilla and bourbon across the palate. Alcohol really well hidden for 13%, but not overly complex. Rounded. Very enjoyable
