This is our classic American IPA. Hopped for flavor and balance in the kettle, and heavily dry hopped in the fermentor. Crisp, clean, and clear.

355 ml can from Ales by Mail, canned on 06/05/14.
Orange/amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Aroma of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, biscuit, some grass.
Taste follows this, with the pine notes very distinctive, balanced by lots of smooth biscuit malts.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a smooth, not too strong carbonation.
Finishes bitter, a bit dry, with lemon zest and pine, but still smooth, with subtle sweet malts.
A crisp and refreshing IPA, that is very smooth to drink, because of the tasty malt backbone that greatly balances the lovely pine notes. Also the balance between drinkability and body is perfect. Really enjoyable!

12 fl. oz. can, bought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. My first southern beer. Pours out in a cloudy pale orange. Two finger head. Citrusfruity hop on the nose. Starts with a pleasant strong fruity longlasting bitterness, caramell in the background. Alcohol in the aftertaste.

Hazy deep copper and orange coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of rye, pale malt, alcohol and a ton of grassy and resinous hops, all with a bit of coriander seed freshness on the back end. Medium-bodied; Biting resinous and piney hop flavour at first with a bit of rye and specialty grain flavour from the malt. Aftertaste shows a rather smooth flavour for the style with not much bitterness or bite, aside from a bit of grassy and herbal hops. Overall, a nice and well-balanced IPA with a nice hop smell from the dry hopping, but the flavour surely fades in the aftertaste. A good IPA for the East Coast nonetheless, but this doesn’t compare with the best from the West. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 25-April-2014 for US$2,50 sampled at home in Washington on 31-July-2014.

A true American IPA. Very hoppy aroma and taste, with a nice balance between fruits and bitters. Good one.

Heavy smell of hops. Orange colour, high yellow head. Aroma of hops, spruce, sugar, some acidic flavour as well. Bitter, slightly sour. Flat but plentiful carbon. Dry palate. Feels like a nice thirst quencher despite being on the stronger side.

Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing coating the sides of the glass nicely.
The smell had a nice spicy yet also a bitter citrus hops overpowering some light malts that maintain their sweetness in the background.
The taste was mainly sweet and spicy that lead into the same aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. I would say that this was fairly sessionable with a nice sharp carbonation pounding my tongue into submission.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA well worthy of having again.

Gut! 12/11/11/12/11/12

Can. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong pine hop, hemp, and grapefruit. Thick mouthfeel with strong hop bite and nice bitter finish. Very good.
