If Dave’s not in the office, he’s out on a cycling adventure. And he’s almost certainly drinking a beer afterwards. We don’t know why biking and beer go together so well, but they just do. We brewed this session IPA as a refreshing post ride snack with notes and aromas of tropical fruits, citrus, mixed berries, and grassy pine. Cheers to every ride!

On tap at Maine Beer, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry piney hops, with some earthy notes and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is little dank, with restrained earthy hops and soft biscuity malt. Nicely balanced and very easy to drink. Good stuff.

Bottle, 5/15/ bottling date. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a medium white creamy head and nice lacing.. Aroma is light, dank, potty, mango, papaya. Flavor is very light sweet, light bitter, juicy and dank, perhaps a hint of green onion. Light body, but surprisingly rounded out for a session IPA. Quite solid.

Draught at Fog Bar, 8/12/17.
Fully hazed, though not cloudy, soft, peachy-gold body topped by a thin, white head of low retention.
Watermelon-grapefruit nose explodes out of the glass and is impressively strong, clear and bright, especially given a convex glass, cold serving temp and bar setting. Soft mango juice, waves of tropical fruit and tons of melon, it just keeps building and is highly pleasant to the last drop. No alcohol or resin.
Unfortunately for the beer, the flavors are a bit dull, bland and astringent, with a popcorny character that could be husky malt from such a low gravity and high attenuation. Extremely dry with peach fuzz, moderate grapefruit and light mango. Odd that the aroma contains so much bright, soft, ebullient juiciness and yet it translates so poorly to the flavor. Carbonation is engaging and there is no alcohol or resin noted.
