Can. Deep dark brown color. Chocolate, cacao, caramel and macaroons in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with chocolate, roast and macaroons. Sticky. Tasty, but has an artificial feel.

Pours black, good tanned head. Smell is full, coconut candy. Taste is sweet, thick, coconut candy. Mild bitter touch. Ends sweet, bit almond like. Coconutty, of course, as well. Hints of chocolate, milder roasty back.

07/16/19, definitely need to stop listening to Art D. pour advice. Bit of an overly coconut nose and front but damn load of chocolate throughout. Accurate I guess + booze! It sure doesn't hide. But still amazing. I miss cerebral. This is still awesome

$4.35 can, WW. This is probably a bad idea at this point in the day. Pours dark brown, not quite black, with a small tan head. Aroma is very nutty (artificial?), chocolate, coconut, caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel, coconut, chocolate, vanilla extract, coffee, heavy nuts. Though somewhat artificial and slightly cloying, the flavor is good. Thick.

Short pour at Brewer's Republic. Pours black, with a dense, thick, light brown head. The aroma is milk chocolate, almonds, sweetened coconut, light coffee, and light, pleasant whiskey or brandy note. Sweet and sugary, with a light bitterness that balances nicely. Heavy body, with a creamy, smooth palate and a mellow, boozy finish. This is a decadent, delicious stout. Simply fantastic.

Very solid stuff. Love the balance despite the heavy elements here like uranium. Coconut works very well here with roast, chocolate, caramel. Velvety texture. Pours black with great head and lacing. Bittersweet finish, though more on the dessert side of that. Tap at Churchkey.

Can - I had a pretty terrible experience with their Neapolitan stout, but since Cerebral was involved with this one, I figured I’d give it a whirl - I’ll give it to them, it does taste like a macaroon - very sweet, with a lot of chocolate and toasted coconut - an unwelcome sharp acidity through the middle - a sugary finish - alcohol is present on the tail end, but wouldn’t guess 12% - a bit thin-bodied for the style and abv - an okay novelty beer.

Drat at 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a deep brown to pitch black with a half finger of beige head that dissipates. Big dark chocolate, fudge and toasted coconut flavors. Some brown sugar as it warms. No trace of abv at all. Marshmallow, vanilla & oatmeal cookie lingers on the palate. Sweet of course, but a well done pastry stout.

12 ounce can into snifter, canned on 7/16/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a fantastic roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mild increasing warmth of 12%, with no lingering booziness after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic flavored imperial pastry stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish; fantastic soft/silky feel. Amazing balance of super rich malts and flavorings; wild solid earthy hops, and mild fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.
