Two-year-old Lambic in which elderberry flowers have been soaked.

The character of the elderberry flowers lends this beer a very pronounced, floral taste that is nevertheless very refreshing.

Since 2008, once a year Cantillon Brewery has produced Zwanze, a special-edition beer that is completely different each time around, with Mamouche originally appearing as Zwanze 2009. This beer is completely different from anything else produced by Cantillon, and we decided to continue producing it on a regular basis. Mamouche is what the seven grandsons of the Van Roy-Cantillon family call their grandmother, Claude Cantillon. As such it is the counterpart of the Lou Pepe beers.

RBJG2. Again, big thanks to Travlr as I had only drunk this previously before I started rating. Golden slightly cloudy colour. Aroma is pickles, nice tartness, floral, citrus. Taste is herbal, nice sourness. Great beer again. Kind of surprised what I wrote, but that just gives me a reason to drink it again.

Bottle from kappldav123, thanks! Blonde, hazy. Flowery honeish citrusaroma. Citrus flavor with pineapple and yoghurt. Sourish with flowery and honey notes. Lovely lambic, but the elderflowers weren’t really necessary.

0.75 l bottle at Cantillon. Shared with Christoffer and Simon. Thanks, cheers! Hazy golden with an orange glow. Small off-white head. Surprisingly rich with elderflower, combines perfectly with dusty kind of woody yeasty funky aroma. Some fruit underneath. Acidity restrained in the aroma. Flavour is quite tart, yeasty, dusty, fruity vinous sourness in the finish, moderately lasting. Seems very fresh despite it's age. Some bitterness there coating the palate. Floral flavour persists. Unique.

Elderflower, grass, intense zesty bitterness. Mildly sweet, tart and reasonably sour. Nice one.

Interesting, very different from your regular lambics or fruited ones. Lots of elderflower, but not overpowering so. Of course it's a subtle flower, but it works nicely here. Floral and funky, tart perfume. Light and refreshing. Fun.
