3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution of the ecosystem in the bottle result in a distinctively complex and elegant natural beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions in the blend, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze can be aged for several decades. The aromas and flavours will evolve from notes of vibrant fresh citrus, zesty and grassy notes to a mellow, oaky, stone fruit bouquet as the lambic continues to develop with time. Lambic and Geuze are living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Taste, savour, enjoy and experience this bottle fermented, unfiltered, unpasteurised and unadulterated beer with friends new and old!

Funky, vinous and tartish with some apples, little carbonation, almost flat, hints of earthiness and sourness, mild oakiness and farmyardy notes. A bit too low on carbonation, not super complex

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed dull gold with white head. Musty gentle funk with light carbonation, age shows here, really softens things.

From the bottle at a tasting at Beer Out, Forlì, Italy. Pours amber, like a Georgian wine, with no foam. Aroma is funky, fruity, winey, resinous. Body is average, with no carbonation. Taste is medium-high sour, with a hint of acetic. Final is still rich, but not particularly long.
Last checkin from share last night I think. Pretty sure this is what I drank. Picture came out blurry.

Not sure if it's the best, but it's the smoothest maybe due to age. Tastes more sugary, sweet than previous sharp, younger lambics I just tried. Grapefruit and snappy cracker. Sweet and tangy finish. Bottle at Snally.

LCI. SBS with blend 126. Super elegant, lemony, restrained, balanced
SBS with 2016. Much more horse blanket here, stone fruit, woodsy barrel, a touch phenolic
