Draught from Torst. Brownish pour. Sour aroma. Malts and all that. . Pretty decent sour

Cask @ BBF 2010. Hint of raspberry in the aroma. Flat. Watery flavor with pear, cherry, raspberry, rhubarb. Lovely!

Unclear, dark brown colored, small non lasting tan head. Aroma is of bit malt and light caramel, some toasted notes, light spice, wild notes, dark fruity. Taste is medium- sweet malt, some toasted malt, light caramel, dark fruity notes, bit spice, vinous, wood, quite sour, dry finish, sour aftertaste. Medium bodied, average carbonation, oily. Not the best one by itself... (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Aus der Flasche (Lot FOE - bbe2018-10) 2017-04 getrunken. Vom Aroma her irgendwo zwischen Rodenbach Grand Crü oder Duchesse De Bourgogne nur mit einen deutlichen leichteren Körper. Schade eigentlich doch immer noch ein echt süffiges Sour Brown Ale.

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a clear brown with no head. The aroma is leather, dark fruit,vinegar. Thin mouth, oak, vinegar, raisin, leather, nice sourness, very good.

Dark brown-tan body is mostly clear with a small light beige head that shows low retention.
Brett and plentiful acetic acid in the nose is backed by a touch of vanilla and caramel from the malts but it’s mostly just the wild yeast and bacteria doing the talking here. Fair amount of complexity, adding balsam, cherries, and even a fair amount of citric character. No alcohol or flaws in the nose.
Wow. Umm this is just like sour yeast/bacteria notes in water. Absolutely no body, no sweetness, nothing. Some strange house character as well, not really dirty, but heavily mineral-like and with some heavy, heavy acidity/astringency. Carbonation is extremely low as well. This is closer to wine and even trying to appreciate it as such, I still can’t get past the lack of complexity. The low carbonation does nothing for it, concentrating the sourness and not really allowing the other characteristics of the beer to be able to be explored. The complete lack of malt/overattenuation isnt doing it any favors either.

Tap@Birch. Pours hazy purple with very little head and no lacing. Aroma is tart cherry, fruity, caramel. Flavor is medium tart and very lightly funky. Some initial sweetness dries out. Not overly complex, unfortunately. Medium body, minimal carbonation.

A little easier on the palate than the Alvinne I had in Ebenezer Kezars last night. This one’s not as sour. Sour plum and raisin with some crab apple and cider flavours. Reddish cloudy pour with decent head and lacing. Medium sour finish. On tap at Lion’s Pride.

A cognac reddish amber ale with no head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with sour cherries, cork and alcohol warmth. In mouth, sweet red fruits with loads of acetic acid, woody notes, light astringence, challenging.

Draft @ Redlight Redlight. Pours cloudy brown color with tan head. Tart cherry and wood aromas and flavors. Pretty sour, similar to a flemmish red. Medium body with average carbonation.
