Canned 2/20/21, drunk 7/31/22. Clear, dark mahogany-to-ebony. Large, light-tan-head showing moderate retention. Sweet but also richly acidic for balance with long espresso, dry caramel and molasses notes. Hints of chocolate, praline and nougat on the end with drying alcohol and dark malt acidity. Soft and balanced in the mouth, very rich with tons of dark fruit balancing rich caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Prunes and caramel with a deep, viscous malt character that isn't cloying or syrupy. It's a monster and it's intense and strong but it's not gratuitously boozey (though still difficult to drink a 16oz - I could not). A perfect beer for 4 to 8 ounces.

Mekelberg's, Brooklyn tap: pours black with my thing not having much head. Aroma is chocolate and bread... babka perhaps. Taste is like that of their signature babka. In a beer, it is like chocolate milk. Booze is well covered, but the. Largeness is there.

1 pint can, at the Beer Jerk Bunker bottle share, thanks to me. Pours black. Chocolate, chocolate biscuits, cocoa powder, touch of salt, sweet creaminess, chocolate liqueur. Smooth full body. Very nice.

Draught @ Milk & Hops - Chelsea (10/31/18) Opaque reddish dark brown with very small frothy beige head, rum-mocha aroma, medium carbonation, sweet mocha taste with alcohol undertones, and vanilla, smooth thick body, long sweet mocha finish. Very sweet, but drinkable.
