16 oz can from Halftime. Dark brown, but still clear, soft beige head. Looks great in a thistle. Roasty aroma, nutty, hint of sweetness. Taste brings brown sugar, chocolate, roast malts and peat. Finishes a touch dry, lingering sweetness.

Draught @ Rattle'nHum. Opaque dark brown with creamy tan head, faint brown sugar-caramel aroma, low carbonation, sweet caramel taste with bitterness seeping in later, smooth body, long finish. Not bad.

Tap at Rattle n Hum East. Deep nut brown colour, tiny off-white head. Caramalt, chocolat and nuttyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Nutty, caramelly, earthy and herbal flavour. Very malty.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark brown with a reddish hue. Scotch/oak and booze. Full bodied. Sweet and boozy flavor. I'd have guessed a higher ABV. Good but a small pour was plenty.

Tap at Tap and Mallet Dark brown/ black color with a wisp of a bubbly off white head. Rich toasty light caramel with plenty of dark dried fruits and a touch of smoke. Pretty tasty scotch ale.
