Guava and grapefruit nose. Cloudy amber, full of fine sediment, thin head, nice lace. Mango, guava, rosehips. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Fruity and dry.

From yesterday. Perfect combo of hoppiness and tropical flavor. Well balanced.

Bottle at Root's wedding - HamTech. Tasty, some slightly artificial gummy peach candies, grapefruit, zest, rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more pithy citrus. Fine. Not something I'd seek out, though.

Draught @ Albion. Cloudy pale yellow with small frothy whitish head, orange aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrusy taste, thin watery body, long medium bitter finish. Not very remarkable.

Bottle from Frank's. Hazy golden. Citric, light malty, bit of grapefruit, slightly bitter and dry. Pretty ok.

4 week old bottle A: Hard poured to a finger of frothy beige yellow head that held up well. Body is mostly clear pale gold despite the description. A few slow bubbles seen. S: Dry pithy grapefruit scent with a hint of sugar cookie. T: Very tropical with pithy bitterness and juice notes of grapefruit, and peach . A little biscuit under the hops but no real sweetness. M: Light, crisp and very dry with little resin on a clean finish. Refreshing and easy drinking. O: Very tasty well balanced lighter IPA that I could drink a lot of.

12 oz bottle, labelled as Tropical Snow Storm (6% ABV and 50 IBU), sounds like the 'normal' Tropical Storm description to me, same beer. Misty orange body, thinning white head. Plenty of tropical fruit esters in the nose and the taste is all about those same mango's and oranges that give the beer it's aroma. Not bad at all, liked it.

Hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall white head. Aroma of grass, light tropical fruits, a bit of hay and funk and a touch of sweetness at the end from mangoes and light caster sugar. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and very tropical fruit flavours at first with papaya and guava noticeable along with some grassy and hay finishes. Aftertaste shows some grass, hay, light tropical fruits and some sweetness from honey and caster sugar with a bit of mangoes noticeable near the end, as well. Overall, a nice-ish beer that shows almost as a fruit beer, but with some hops as well and a bit of grasses, but balanced throughout. Nice to sample, as this was a Saranac beer that didn’t just make me shake my head, but actually finish the beer without waiting to get rid of it. That said, it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Shopper’s Food Warehouse in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 21-June-2017 for US$1,25 sampled at home in Washington on 13-August-2017.

12 ounce bottle thanks to hershiser2. Hazy yellow with floating particles. Large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, oats. The taste is pineapple, mango, papaya, citrus, oats. Medium bodied, juicy, mild lingering bitterness. Is Saranac stepping up their game lately? This is actually pretty damn good.
