Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Near-soupy appearance with a bright, fiery orange-golden color and a small, but firm, white head atop.
Beautiful mosaic in the nose cast a ton of pineapple, mango and light lime as the equinox bolster the tropical fruit character and add a little bit "drier" citrus to balance things out. Great amount of bitterness (low) which easily balances the fairly dry maltiness which itself adds light honey, graham cracker and biscuit. Mango, pineapple and light lime linger on with no alcohol or flaw.
Juicy as all hell, as expected, with a very soft, wheat and malt-laden texture and fine carbonation. Good attenuation, though obviously some sugar left behind to balane. Light to moderate bitterness, with lots of citrus and dry pineapple. Awesome, stuff, obviously like a richer, stronger Patina with parallels to DDH Melcher Street (I think this is a bit better). Phenomenal stuff. Wish I could drink ASB’s beers regularly.
