Barley and tean nose, slight diacetyl. Garnet brown, clear, no head. Tea and barley malt flavor, finishing with light bark. Sessionable and non-offending, but mediochre. I probably overrated just a tad.

bottle - Pours clear dark amber with a one finger head. It smells of toasted caramel malt and tastes of sweet caramel malt with some very mild hops. There’s a light to medium body and it’s simple but quite drinkable.

Overall Impression: This was a nice, easy to drink Irish Red beer. Relatively light in body, but smooth and nice enough. Flavor is mostly sweet malts, not overly complex, but highly drinkable.

I found this beer to be an honest representation of the Irish Red style. A true, rich, red color. Hoppy with a slight taste of caramel. Good overall.

12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a clear auburn tinted red color with a medium fizzy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is caramel and nuts with faint chlorine notes. Taste is tart grainy notes with a nutty finish. Thin-medium bodied. Very little character to this one.

12oz bottle. Filtered deep amber brown color, minimal head. Pretty straightforward and true to the style. I think this could stand up to any Red that I’ve had from Ireland, an overrated beer country if there ever was one, not that I’ve been, mind you. Very smooth drinking, quite fresh tasting. Malty and rich, with some amber and crystal malt tones. Saranac excels at session beer, this being another example.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright red-brown color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was sweet, tangy and sour malts. The flavor was somewhat sweet and tangy malts with a bitter middle and a dryish bitter finish. Eh.

Friendly smell. Orange brown, perhaps some red. Mellow acceptable flavor. Nice tingly citrus like carbonation. Finish may have some processed linger but it is palatable and enjoyable at times.
