This India Pale Lager infuses the complexity of our lagers with the addition of American West Coast hops. Simcoe Hops provide a pronounced piney aroma, while the Amarillo Hops provide the citrus like aroma. A perfect harmony in a classic rendition of this new-school style.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tall tulip.
Appearance: golden rust in color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light grapefruity and mixed citrusy hops snap at a nice clean malty backbone
Flavor: copies the aroma pretty spot on with a lingering grapefruity hoppy finish
Texture: light to medium bodied - hmmm, maybe a touch closer to medium with some sessionability about it; good smoothness with some prickly hops gaining a little bit of strength to cause some bitterness on the tongue
Overall: nicely done impy IPL I would definitely return to.

16oz can from Halftime. Medium, clear golden, small creamy head. Malty, bready aroma. Taste brings some crisp, snappy hops, more bready malts and a bit of dryness.

16 oz can from Halftime, 6/1/20. Best by 7/12/20. Unclear rusty golden, white head, average lace. Grainy, pale malt, some caramel, earth, and a little grapefruit / citrus. Decent, but expected a higher level IPL from these guys.

Crystal clear golden and light honey coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall tan and off-white head. Aroma of grass, hay, yeast, biscuits, a dash of bread and a light sweetness from fruits and some honey as well. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal flavours dominate with a large biscuity and malty flavour with some light yeast, bread and all ending with a lot of sweetness and a touch of very subdued, but noticeable hop bitterness showing the herbal and grassy hops at the tail end Aftertaste is relatively crisp and clean, especially for a lager, but also for one with so much alcohol and hops - this has the grassy flavours with a good soft sweetness throughout and solid balance. Overall, a great 'IPL' (I still hate saying that) with a nice hay and grassy finish and smooth profile even with a good deal of alcohol. Great to try! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia on 22-November-2019 for US$2,51 sampled at home in Washington on 01-December-2019.

16 ounce can. Lightly hazed honey gold color. Frothy white head is a finger high. Fragrant citrus hops in nose. Brash, spicy hops with Bready malt in middle. Nice crisp lager notes are complimented by the spicy Amarillo and Simcoe hops resulting in an outstanding hybrid brew. Warming alcohol in finish.
