Half liter dimpled mug at Central Waters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The pour is a golden amber with a small off white head with nice lace. The aroma is caramel malt, soft hay and grass. The taste is really clean marzen flavors - malt balanced nicely with grass and softly clove yeast. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and a clean dry soft sweet malt finish. Nice Oktoberfest, glad I could try it again. 8,7,7,7,8 - 7.4

12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Festival in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Bottled on SEP notched on label. The pour is a clear copper golden, slight ruby, with a one inch off white head. The aroma is rounded sweet caramel malt, maybe a soft cocoa with a hint of vanilla, and distant grass. The taste is sweet caramel malt, with the same touch of cocoa vanilla, and the grass shows a bit dirty in the back. The palate is medium bodied, with a lower carbonation level, and a silky mouth coating finish. Pretty straight forward malt sweet Oktoberfest. Nice enough. 8,7,6,6,7.5 - 6.6

The Aromas are on the caramel malt sweet side with a hint of roast. Flavors are similar to nose, on the sweet side but with a little more toasts coming through. Okay body and carbonation. Mildly sweet finish.

Draught @ Dive 75. Cloudy amber red with small creamy beige head, faint caramel malt aroma, high carbonation, sweetish caramel malt taste, thin body abrupt finish. Nice festbier.

12 ounce bottle from Sendik's Marquette. Dark copper, thin creamy tan head, fair retention. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, some green notes. The taste is toasted malt, caramel, mild fruitiness and some offensive tinny, meaty notes. Thin. Meh.

Sitting around for a few months. Good fest color, orange brown. Smelll is cleean lager. Bready, malty with a tad of fruit inthe background. Reminds me more of a british ale of some sort. Has that malty thing happening. Yes, weird musty fruit thing builds during the session. Could be a little more pleasant on the uptake. Finish is a tad medicinal.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel-amber color with a small creamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and malty though a bit vegetal. The flavor was sweet, tangy and malty with notes of molasses, caramel and faint vegetal malts. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Bottle @ Brad’s house. Pours a dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Caramel, toasty grainy, herbal, grassy aroma. Somewhat sweet but not cloying, caramel, toasty, straw, grassy, a touch fruity flavor that is well balanced and delicious. One of the better Märzens that I’ve had in a while.

On tap at Old Fashioned. Hazy orange-tan, minimal non-head. Light, easy doughy malt aroma. Medium bodied, pretty crisp. Mild amber malt, light buttery caramel, soapy hops. OK, could use a little more malt depth.

This beer is a clear orange color with a medium thin eggshell white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light and sweet character that is malty with notes of caramel and floral hops. The finish is toasted malt and caramel with a lingering sweetness left behind. Decent overall.
