Bottle sample at a tasting at Mastikim. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden. Hoppy aroma, kinda stale. Hoppy flavor, a bit stale, a bit citric, with a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Crisp amber and copper tinted body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall just off-white head with a little bit of a bronze glow. Aroma of grassy and cardboardie hops with a hint of malt, pine and caramel - not too pungent. Medium-bodied; Assertive herbal and earthy malt and hops with some light bitterness, a lot of floral flavours and a bit of herbs as well. Aftertaste shows some light depth and assertiveness, this one is mostly mild and lacking conviction. Overall, not such a great beer and showing hardly any hops at all. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Good Beer in New York, New York on 19-July-2014 for US$2,39 sampled at home in Washington just a week later on 26-July-2014. Rating for this Sample: 5,2,5,2,10 Second Can: Deeper and fairly hazy copper and light bronze coloured body with a thick three to four centimetre tall off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a nice lace on the sides. Pleasant and hoppy aroma of caramelised sugars along with a bunch of nutty and grassy hops here with some alpha acids noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong caramel sweetness here with a good balance of nutty and grainy malts with a good hop character and some light bitterness at the tail end, all with some strong sugars and even melon flavours. Aftertaste is clean and fairly balanced with more emphasis on the hops of course, but from a nutty perspective. Overall, much better than what I remembered from the first sample and perhaps a worthy option now? I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Laurel, Maryland on 20-July-2022 for US$2,29 sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-August-2022. Rating for this Sample: 7,4,7,3,14

A golden IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, good biscuit malt with floral hops, citrus pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice fruity biscuit malt with British floral hops, citrus pulp, nice. Bottle at Bacon and beer Classic.

Bottle, thanks bill! Pours crystal clear orange amber, medium off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is corn, pine, caramel, faint citrus. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, lingering. Not harsh, but a faint bit metallic. Medium body.

Tap at Stags head. very clear copper pour. light nose of citrus hops. tastes of orange rind, pine, malt, and caramel. thin and light bodied. tasty but unsubstantial

Bottle. Pours golden orange with white head. Nose and taste of orange candy, malt, resin, dried grapefruit and pine. Medium body.

32oz growler from Shoreline Beverage. Pours a clear orange with some thin white head. Nose is standard, orange, pine, soap, malt, honey. Flavor is very bitter, orange peel, grapefruit peel, slightly metallic, a little birch. Bitter finish. Run of the mill.

Approximately 2 ounce sample at the Brewery tasting room in Bay Shore, New York. The pour is a slightly hazy orange golden. The aroma is dry grassy resin, with light honey and some nice pine all balanced against caramel malt. Fresh nose. The taste follows the nose, nice fresh hops (grass, resin, light honey, pine) balanced against a clean caramel toast malt. The palate is medium bodied, clean dry finish. Of the beers I sampled here, I liked this and the Saison the best.

Appearance: This beer pours a hazy caramel color with a foamy head atop it
Flavor: The flavor of this one is lightly sweet and medium bitter, citrus fruits and resin
Palate: It has a light-medium body, average carbonation, and the mouthfeel has a touch of creaminess
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty good IPA. It seems to be well-made and nicely drinkable. One of the more enjoyable small brewery offerings that I got to try at this festival.

Tap at Governors Island BrewFest, 2010. Pours amber-orange, slightly cloudy, with a medium, white head. Aroma holds grapefruit and resiny hops. Flavor has good sweetness up front, followed by a strong and well-delivered hop profile. Notes of fruit and pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes slightly sticky with moderate bitterness. Good IPA, well balanced.
