12oz bottle from Orchard Fresh, Orchard Park, NY. An amber pour with a tight cream head; strangely malty aroma for an IPA; estery, pear-drop taste; and a rather thin body; then a fresh dry finish, with some lingering herbal hops. Not at all what I was expecting, very different from the usual American IPA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy dark orange-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of stale hops, slightly fruity and soapy, and a bit of malt. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt, mild fruitiness and hops bitterness, slightly stale, slightly soapy. Medium-bodied.

My wife brought this back from a trip to Rochester. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was grapefruit, lemon and a touch of caramel. The flavor was tangy and tart lemon, orange and grapefruit with undertones of bread and pepper. Medium finish. Medium body but a bit overcarbonated.
