Bottle shared at the CBJ tasting, thanks to Kenneth, 15/11/23. Black topped with a tan head. Nose is dark malts, spice, charr, rich roast, dark chocolate. Taste comprises roasted bite, charr, cocoa powder, hint of soy sauce and umami, molasses, toasted brown sugar. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay sipper but coming over tired.

Cremiger, moderat süßer Malzbeginn. Süffig, schokoladig, weich, der starke Alkohol macht sich geschmacklich nicht bemerkbar. Nussig, Kakao, trockener Hintergrund, zunehmende Süße. Langer malziger Abgang, gut. 9/11/12/11/7/12

On tap @White Pony (Padova). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma colore cappuccino media, abbastanza persistente. Al naso note di cioccolato fondente, liquirizia e caffè, leggerissima nota di oliva in salamoia. In bocca è abboccata all'attacco con chiusura amara a bilanciare, cioccolato fondente e leggero caffè. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Non in perfette condizioni, comunque buona

Bottle shared at CBJ - cheers! Pours black-brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour with notes of ripening semi-dark fruits, toasted coconut, toffee, cocoa, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and warming in the finish, more ripe and dried dark berries, raisins, bit of cocoa and toasted coconut. Really tasty gear.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have raisins, roasted malts. Touch of cocoa. Nicely boozy. Rich and silky mouthfeel.

A 33 cl bottle that I got from a European retailer and have held for several months. White Pony can do it great and other times, not as much. A snifter receives a rich and dark brown-black pour with a minimal brown skim. Quite the nose, there is leather, chocolate, dark fruit and grain. But the drink, wow, this is fine. Dark chocolate, strawberries, wheat bread, licorice and a bit of toffee. Potent, I feel the heat. Won’t get in a hurry with this one.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black, but surprisingly not opaque as you get an orange hue, beige head. Chocolate rather than roast in the nose - as is typicak for a Belgian brewed Stout. Medium body, sweet roast, chocolate, licorice and molasses and a rather boozy finish. Probably has plenty of sugars making it lighter that all grain Imperial Stouts. Nice enough though. 100220
