A crispy mashup between a Czech and German-Style Pilsner. This golden hue lager is too hoppy to be considered a German Pilsner, yet differs in hops from a true Czech Pilsner. At this conjunction, Paradox Pilsner remains a perfect drinking experience from its old-world Pilsner malt and generous use of noble hops!

Poured from a can to a pilsner glass

Pours a transparent gold with a bit of chill haze. About two and a half fingers of rocky eggshell white head that lasts a while. It eventually settles to cover the top of the beer leaving lots of sticky soapy lace.

The aroma is yeasty biscuit malt followed by straw and a slight tea like hop notes.

The taste tends to follow the aroma with clean biscuit malt and fresh cut grass taking the lead. A sweetness comes in mid palate along with a light peppery spice from noble hops.

The texture is light in body with a medium carbonation. A mild bitterness increases the sessionability. It finds a balance between smooth and dry.

Overall Paradox considers this a hybrid German/Czech pils. I would say that is spot on. A very sessionable and enjoyable pils. One you can reach for at just about any time but I'd definitely come back to during the warmer months.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: clear yellow color with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral & grassy hops with a clean bready/crackery malts
Flavor: copies the aromas in a sweet and bitter sort of way; finishes crisp and sweet
Texture: light bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some dryness
Overall: nicely done pilsner, a nice easy drinker.

On tap at Nags bar and Kitchen Oneonta NY
Just a touch of chill haze in this light gold beverage with a decent sized bubbly white head that shows decent retention. Spicy floral hops against a nice bready crackery malt base. Pretty nice pilsner.

Can at Downtown Social in Glens Falls. Straight from the can, so Appearance is like a hobo or maybe a redneck. Still, the black pepper and dusty straw aroma is obvious. Taste is peppery bitter and dry. Quick finish. Can't complain

Can. Clear pale yellow with largish foamy off-white head, clean malt aroma, high carbonation, malty taste with a hint of yeast sourness, thin body, abrupt finish. A good Pilsner.

A blonde pils with a thin white head. In aroma, class pils with mineral notes, light sulfur, good. In mouth, good biscuit, saaz hops, nice pils. On tap at brewery.
