Blue can from vintage. Very nice effervescent eye. Pretty good co2 but not as much as the eye indicates. A little astringent & bitter up front. Yes, starts to come on like an IPA in the middle. Finish is same, probably should be in the ipa style BWDIK? Yep, typical rude ale. Go figger. Does come across a little veggie in the end.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/8/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness.Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an outstanding American pale ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and never watery. Really great mix of juicy, vibrant, and dank hop complexity; nice bready Munich malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic; awesome hop showcase. A highly enjoyable offering, one of the best session pale ales I have had.

Can from thebaldwizard. Thanks Joe! It pours a lightly hazed burnt orange color with a good sized foamy off white head. The aroma has some strong orange and piney hops backed by noticeable toasted/caramel/toffee-like malts. The hops are more prominent though with some sweet grapefruit in there as well. The flavor has the same toasted/toffee-like maltiness with strong piney and spicy hops. Grapefruit and florals in the finish. The body is light, but the maltiness gives it some substance. Very classic "C" hop character with citrus, floral and pine. The finish is strongly bitter. Overall, not bad. It comes across as more of an old school APA.
