(Keg at Angleterre, 20170626) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, cough mixture and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, liquorice, saltiness, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. The taste was nice but the aroma was off-putting.

Draught @ Rotterdam, Helsinki. Poured near black with a thin brown head. Licorice, peppermint, medicine notes, especially in flavor. Pretty nice. Tasty considering the abv.

Tap at Pivni; York. Black beer. The cardamom is immediately noticeable, prominent, and makes the beer. It is in the flavor and the aroma, roasted malt that has a flavor of burned toast in the end. Medium palate. Served maybe a little too cold but a good porter. I love cardamom in beer, it reminds me of Pannepot.

Cask at the Peterborough beer festival 27/08/2016. An opaque black dark brown coloured pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is nutty roasted malts, burnt toast, hinta of jammy fruits. Flavour is nice layered dark malts, rustic, toast and roasted malts, semi sweet jammy fruits, strawberry. A little woody tannin in the finish. Palate is medium sweet, rounded, medium bodied, ok cask condition. Good rustic Porter.

330ml bottle shared with Finn at The Old House. Bubbly, patchy surface to a deep rosewood coloured body. Roasted malty nose with liquorice and dark berries. Blended flavour profile of black malts, dark berries and oat. Mid-sweet malty finish. Satisfying (Hull 26.11.2015).

Flaske 330ml på Old House Hull 26 Nov 15. Delt med Rune. Svart. Lavt, litt farget skum. Tung fruktig aroma. Hint av lakris. Smaken lakris & litt nøtter. Toner ut med lakrispreg. Bra - men lite variasjon.
