An imperial IPA with aromatic hop intensity. Brewed exclusively with galaxy and citra hops (at a rate of 8 pounds per barrel), full fathom five is vibrantly citric, with loads of tropical fruit and gentle grassy notes in the nose.

Hazy golden coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall pure white head that tops the beer nicely, but the haze is like a bottle of raw honey - very thick and super opaque, especially for the style. Aroma of grass, perfume, hay and a lot of citrus notes, all with a good malt backbone and some strong sweet scents toward the end - seemingly from honey and citrus fruits. Medium-bodied; Dense, rich mouthful with a lot of citrus, pine, resin and grass that shows a nice full-bodied and supportive biscuity and yeastie malt note that ends in a pleasant and enjoyable sweetness from honey and fruits, all with a touch of resin and bitter hops. Aftertaste shows the complex hop profile at first with the citrus, grass, hay and perfumey notes, but ends with sweetness and a large biterness from all the hops, in a good way. Overall, a nice and enjoyable Imperial-ish IPA with a large hop bite and better grassy and herbal finish. I sampled this sixteen ounce can, given to me by the GM, thanks Erik on 20-February-201, sampled at home in Washington on 15-March-2019.
