bottled - pours dark brownish - smokey aroma, roasted malts. Thinner mouthfeel. something about the smokiness of this one was a bit more acrid/cigarettish than I’m used to.

Pint can. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown color with a small beige head that soon recedes to a fine ring. The aroma is strong with sweet smoke flavors. The taste is more of the same--lots of sweet smoked goodness. The taste conjures up memories of smoked brisket, ribs and bacon. The palate is light and crisp. Finishes long and semi=sweet. Overall: Decent, one of the best American made smoke beers. Paired well with some summer sausage.

Pour is pretty much black with a bone white head. Aroma is a slight smoke. Not a total bacon bomb but rather pleasant. Flavor is a little roasted malt and a little smoke and finishes with a bitter bakers chocolate. Kind of a mix of several styles. I liked it.

Can from my son in law, thanks Ben. Big 16 oz pounder can. Very nice almost black pour like super dark root beer. Smooth craggy off white head. Nose is malty with just a rad of burnt. Yes, first taste is certainly a typical smoked beer but its lacking any sense of that bacon thing I get in most smoked varieties. Yes smoke is prominent but its not super forward, it retains much of its black lager heritage. Good level of co2. Not one for smoked beers but this is quite acceptable. Somewhat balanced, goes down fairly easy without any complaints. Yes, a decent black brew that never really gets in yer face with the smoked attributes.
Dark brown pour. Watery with all liquid smoke flavor. Mulberry palate.

Fat @ Man in the moon. Väldigt trevlig rököl med inslag av kaffe, tjära och ckolad. Själva rökigheten är reltivt mild och kroppen är mjuk och fin. Whats not to like?

On tap at Man in the Moon. Almost black with a small tan head. Light smoke, some ham. Soft and easy to drink.
