This IPA was formally known as Sam named after its hops; Simcoe, Amarillo and mosaic, but we were told this would be a trademark issue with a large craft brewery out of the north-east, so we had to change it. We cycled though a bunch of generic names; Bob, Tom, Dick, Dan, Carl, Frank until we finally arrived on the perfect name for this IPA...Joe.

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 2 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 1

Pours dark amber with a cream head. Obvious sediment in the beer, exceptional amounts. Tastes like wood and toasted malt, intense hops. Palate includes hops and a toasted element. Not a good beer, all the worst elements of an IPA.

Draught @ 10 Barrel Brewery, San Diego. Pours golden with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of malt, grain, fruity hops, peach, citrus. Flavor is sweet and light bitter, malt, grass, fruit, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 300718

One of those cases where I was in a mood for a hoppy bottle and found it. Hay aroma. Hoppy flavour with a nice malt edge. Grassy finish.

Grass and pencil shavings nose. Cloudy amber, medium head, good lace. Lemongrass. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

24/6/2018. Draught at Blondies Bar & Grill, Las Vegas. Pours hazy amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit, jammy fruits, citrus, pine and grass. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Bitter, piney finish. Pretty good overall.

Bottle bitter bastardly boisterous head banging bullshit, deadly on style. Sharp stinging snidely kick in the face. Sweet volatile nose. Chunks floating in thar. Not impressed.

On tap at Batch Gastropub. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is nice hops, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is dank hops with some citrus hops.
