12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Lake Manassas, 5/23/16. Hazy golden with a large foamy white head. Good retention. Aroma of tropical fruit and pale malt. The taste is pine, mango, papaya, lime, pale malt. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

On tap at St. Augustine’s. Pours a clear pale golden with a weak white head. Aroma is some hops, biscuity malt. Taste is tropical fruits and piney bitternesa. Piney bitterness aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle picked up by a buddy somewhere. Poured a clear golden yellow color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light tropical fruit notes, some light citrus, juicy hops. Flavor was about the same - lots of citrus, tropical fruit character. Pretty tasty.

3-4 oz pour on draft at Sehkraft. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of citrus, tropical fruit, malt, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a full on assault of hoppy orange peel bitterness. Flavor is a big citrus and bitter hop with a lot of tangerine and other various citrus type hops. No malt to get in the way of the hops other than leaving a very dry chalkiness that just cleanses the palate for the next sip. This is like chewing on a just ripe tangerine.

Draught @ Albion. Faintly cloudy rich orange with small frothy off-white head, very faint citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter orange peel taste, citrus flavor, longish bitter hoppy finish. A good IPA.

Fairly yeasty nose with some tropical fruit nose. Medium body, moderately bitter, but I did detect a bit of DMS. Light bodied. Big bitter finish. Not too bad, but nothing too special.

Bomber bought at Super 1, rated on paper a couple nights ago in my cabin at Lolo Hot Springs. Aroma is strong citrus, lesser floral notes. Pours hazy golden with an off-white lacy head with excellent retention. Tastes pretty old--couldn’t find a date. Medium-high bitterness. Not good. I can tell this would be really tasty fresh so I’ll give some benefit of the doubt.

Poured from the tap. Brownish yellow with off white head. Peachy, grassy hops, mild resin finish.

Grumbler purchase from Breeze-IN, Juneau, AK.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden yellow to orange color allowing a fairly decent carbonation to be seen rising throughout the beer.
The smell had a decent amount of bitter citrus hops and a slight grassy note rolling underneath. There are some light sweet malts coming through as it warms.
The taste was mainly sweet through a combination of the citrus hops and grassiness to the malts. However, the bitterness does come back to make a play on my taste buds to add just a touch of itself to the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. I was hoping it would have been more sessionable. I mean the sessionability seemed to be there for the most part but I thought this would have been more.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA worthy of having again but probably not worth the hype that surrounds it.
