12oz bottle from Superstar Beverage in Huntington pours a very murky orange with plenty of frothy, white head. I love to say this, but if this was a Tired Hands beer, people would LOVE the look. Nose is huge with pine and pine resin, very very resinous, soapy and herby, grapefruit rind, grassy. Flavor is very bitter, honestly a big bright fresh orange kick, pine and pine sol, grass and straw. Finishes hugely bitter. Palate wrecking bitterness. Glad I ended my night with this.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was bitter, sour caramel, pineapple and a bit of tropical fruit. The flavor was sour caramel, tropical fruit, pineapple and perfume. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Quite nice.

Got in a BIF from beerloserLI. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of big citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of big citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a nice bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very resinous/sticky and moderately slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with only a light-moderate warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Triple IPA style. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of big citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate malt sweetness; and smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/10/15
Aroma: The aroma has some orange/citrus, a bit of stale hop, and notes of rubbing alcohol
Appearance: It pours a rather hazy orange color with a thick foam of off-white head and heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes much the same, lightly sweet, slight alcohol, and moderate to strong bitterness
Palate: This one is medium bodied, with a soft carbonation, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This one sort of missed the mark. The hop strength and depth of flavor just don't come through well enough. Hey, at least it is a great looking beer. I'm generally a fan of Captain Lawrence, but this was a miss for me.

Big thanks to Ray for this one. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, soft and semi dry. Superfine carbonation. Airy creamy malts, medium sweet. Hops are pretty bitter, floral noble hop like bitterness. Light tropical fruits provide contrast. Little aniseed in the crisp finish. Bitterish linger and a warming afterglow. Intense but pretty drinkable.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of stake hops, malt, caramel and a biscuity hint. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, a cookie-ish note, some fruitiness, stale hops and a strong bitterness. Medium to full-bodied. OK, but too sweet and heavy and not fresh enough.

Bottle. Pours orange gold white head. Nose/taste of boiled hops, alcohol soaked malts, alcohol soaked orange and grapefruit peel and earthy citrus. Medium body. A bit too much.

23/VI/14 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2014-662) Thanks to PriorL for sharing the bottle!
Clear orange beer, irregular creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very piny, citrus, bit soapy, fruity, bit chemical. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, alcohol, pineapple, bit sugary, piny, soapy touch. Aftertaste: bitter, alcohol, ripe mango, bit soapy, sweet caramel, honey, bitter, syrupy, sugary, bit soapy. Decent, but probably aged a bit and better fresh?

Bottle shared by Dr Rob, thanks for the opportunity. Slightly hazy, big sweet maltiness, bitter citrus and pine, strong alcohol presence. Could be a bit drier, but I’m glad I got to try it.

With the mother in law staying a few days I figure hit the high abv stuff prior to going home. Pours cloudy orange with tinge of brown and some sediment. One finger head and nice nose of tropical fruits and pine. Tastes super hoppy pine, tropical fruits like mango and tangerines, lots of sweet malts, candy, and bready. Slight too sticky palate and lingering finish. A bit too extreme with some alcohol heat at end but ghats what I wanted at time
