Pours a hazy reddish mud from a can, white head with lots of lacing. Initial aroma was of pineapple, followed quickly by ginger root. Flavor is ginger snap with some hints of pine, and mango. Some bitterness. Creamy, not harsh. Pretty good beer.

Slightly hazy amber and copper coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of earthy hops, malt, alcohol, a touch of metal, some light sweetness from caster sugar and some fruits and a bit of powdered ginger. Medium-bodied; Very assertive and pungent malt flavour with some specialty grains and earthiness with a lot of bitterness, showing some light ginger and herbal flavour as well, but a earthy and strong finish with much more bitterness than complexity. Aftertaste has some fruit and herbal elements, but the rye and funky earthy malt flavour dominates with some alcohol pungency left over. Overall, a decent beer, but this isn’t really like an IPA at all - this is spice/herb/veg all the way, and even then, a bit far off from others typically in the style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 02-July-2016 for US$2,25 sampled at home in Washington on 22-September-2016.

Taster pour at Craft Beer Race New Haven. Appearance is hazy-to-cloudy caramel brown with small ring of head with mild lacing, mild sparkle. Aroma is floral, almost perfumey, with hint of ginger. Taste is strong ginger over malt base, some fruity hop taste/bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin-to-average texture, soft carbonation, and citrusy bitter finish. Overall, ginger dominant but has some complexity around it so it’s not just a one-trick pony.

12 oz. can purchased at 7 Eleven Kittery, ME. 3-28-2016, freshie yo! Appearance is dark Amber with standard carbonation level. Aroma is mostly ginger root with a mild hint of grass.
The flavor is mostly ginger with notes of mild lingering grassy hints. The finish is very herbal. I knew what I was buying with this brew. Body is medium with a very herbal character. Not bad if you like ginger.

Tap at Jimmy’s 43 hazy orange beer. Nose is ginger and some citrus. Tastes of loads of ginger upfront but that fades as you drink. Also you get oranges, light earth, resin, caramel. Mostly ginger though. Slihhy boozy.

Arrogant Swine, Brooklyn tap: Pours red with off-white head. Aroma is citrus, ginger, with a good bit of malt. Taste is like an ipa with slight hints of ginger. Hefty malt backbone.
