Surprisingly a bit reminiscent of czech half and halfs, tastes almost like a blend of a milk stout and a dark ale. Quite malty, lots of coffee, some milk.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thick, four to five centimetre tall pure, rich brown head that stays afloat for a very long time. Aroma of super-roasted coffee, tons of roasted malt, a heavy dose of chocolates and a tiny bit of a spicey element, but also some alcohol and lactose in here as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich chocolatey flavours with a lot of coffee as well that shows some malt and full-bodied notes with a good pungent flavour that finish with alcohol and lactose more than anything. Aftertaste is pungent, deep and very satisfying, with the chocolate and coffee notes by far the strongest in terms of flavours, but the alcohol hits noticeably and shows nicely with all the malts. Overall, the lactose is strong and pungent, but the coffee and chocolate overpower that and the alcohol, making this a very nice-drinking, yet heavy, beer that shows well throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park), New York for US$4,99 sampled while at the playground with my kids in New York, New York on 07-December-2019.

Opaque black color, small steady beige head. Lots of coffee in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Lots of espresso in the flavor too. Vanilla, mint chocolate and gingerbread. Smooth and warming.

Draught @ Milk and Hops - Chelsea. Opaque dark brown with large foamy tan head, sharp coffee beans aroma with a hint of cardamom, medium carbonation, sweetish fruity mocha taste, somewhat thick body, long mocha finish. Very smooth and fulfilling.
