(Online description:) This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety “Citra.” Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then we added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for your tasting pleasure!

Hazy amber color. Old school apricot, apples, bread and grapefruit nose. Full body malty, spiciness, orange pekeo spice. Apples. Very drinkable. Slightly sweet. Very rounded. I like it but it’s old school.

Can from Bottle Baron. Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, pine and lemongrass. Flavour of caramel, marmalade and burnt orange. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Clean and richer than I expected for a Citra-hopped DIPA.

Can. Slightly cloudy amber with a small but dense off white head. Aroma of Meyer lemon, grapefruit, pine, bread crust. 7+ Getting towards syrupy, moderate carbonation. Very sweet indeed but clean with a fairly bitter finish. Tripel-like sugariness. The citrus is nice (and there are hints of tropical fruit too).

Unfamiliar brewery and beer too, natch. Spotted in a four pack of 16 oz cans, my favorite serving size, why not. Came to me from the neighborly craft beer store in Odessa, TX. The very cold can is opened and goes into my new Great Heights tulip glass. It pours a dark gold finished with a strong, almost-white head that slenders down. Inviting but not unique nose, grain and hops, light pine and a sweetish citrus. The taste, hey, quite nice, grass, resin, ruby red grapefruit being a slightly sweet version. Great ending bitterness with a nice dose of hops. Really fine on a hot Texas evening. 7/27/18

(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 24 May 2018) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit, resin and orange peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, passion-fruit, candied pineapple, mango, candy sugar and a balanced citric, tropical bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Hoppy, dank and fruity. Very nice.

Can, pours clear golden with foamy off-white head, citrus-mango aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel taste, very smooth body, long smooth slightly sticky finish. Smooth and tasty.

At a tasting, small stable bubbly creamy head, quite clear deepish orange color, fruity peachy aroma, fruity flavor with a hint of onion, mellow bitterness. Nice and enjoyable.
