0.33l bottle thanks to Lore. Slightly hazy golden body with a white head. Aroma and taste of bready malts, sugar syrup, orange zest, apricot, pears and a tiny bit of floral hops. Pretty much how I envision a Belgian Tripel, really good example of the style. I like it.

A golden and quite murky beer, a head is big and white. Aroma has fruiness, pear, light spicyness and flowers. Taste has generic frutiness, nice spicyness. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Nice and balanced.

33cl bottle at home (10 VI 2016). Dark golden, clear tripel with huge, snow white head. Classic flavours with some black spices, banana leaves, herbs, malts and yeasts. The carbonation is pretty high, the mouthfeel is rich and sugarish. The big body is alcohol warming, with lots of sweets and bitter notes. A that spiced and with a round, even soft mouth. The ending is long, bitter, sweet and spiritful! The alcohol certainly is omnipresent, overpowered even, but I couldn’t care less in a tripel. This is a classic, straigtforward and a quite heavy Belgian blonde. Decent and tasteful.

33cl bottle at home (7 VII 2021), as Postel Tripel. A 9% ABV abbey beer from Alken-Maes. Little hazy, golden orange brew, and some brown dashes, with a lovely white snowy collar on top. the nose has lots of malts, bread and yeasts features, with in the background some undefinable fruits. Think of peach or apricot, maybe some banana leaves too. The mouthfeel has a very boozy character, which is somewhat annoying, hiding different spices and herbs. The full-bodied taste has heaps of sweets, some bubble gum, few wheat, little caramel. Apart from its firm alcoholic power, this tripel comes forward as an archetype Belgian tripel. Classic, for sure.

Ljust gyllengul vätska med tjock och vitt skum. Örtig, jästig doft med en lätt brödig bakgrund. Torr och väldig besk i smaken. Möter örtigheten på ett bra sätt.
