Aroma of cherries, wine cask, dried fruits, musty caramel, oak. Flavour is vinous, tart cherries, light sourness. Nice and complex.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Very dark brown coloured brew with an sour meets some wine and whskey appearance. Taste like an sour "sachertorte" with some sweetness. Crazy but good beer, but the World War one battles around Ypres are more crazier.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Caramel, oak, milk and vinous notes in teh complex aroma. Moderately sour, roasty flavor with laurel, caraml, apple sourness, balsamic vinegar and vinous notes. Oak. Great complexity. Full bodied and slightly boozy.

Bottle, shared at Little Leeds Beer House. Mucky, reddy brown. Halo of beige head. Nose has sherry. Nuts. Ripe vine fruit. Oak. Taste doesn’t live up unfortunately. It’s a bit papery and old. Medium body, with a surprising amount of carbonation. Nutty, fruity bitter finish. Past it’s prime, I think.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a dark Burgundy-red one with a light creamy brown egg-shell colored bubbly top. Not to extreme on the aroma even if it kicks a punch when you inhale. Soft vinegar with red berries and traces of mild vinous wood. The taste is as smooth as always with Struise: Loaded with acidic red berries and woody red wine vinegar. Dragon fruit and kumquat with lots of sour gooseberries and a strong vinous touch. It's quite drying on the mouthfeel, so much that I would call it mouthdrying. It's pleasant to drink, somewhat unique in the taste. Interesting experience, and I'm one of those lucky guys that has another bottle that won't be opened for many years. Already looking forward to that day. 06.02.2013
