Pours like motor oil and has a minimalist near black head. The nose is very understated with some coffee, malt and fruit. A complex, well blended taste profile featuring Coffee, a touch of citrus hops and some berries. Molasses, semi sweet chocolate and ripe dark berries add to the blend. A dense, sticky body. A slightly bitter aftertaste. A solid classic.

Bottle at home from Csakajó, köszi Kini! Pours jet black, with quickly disappearing beige head. Nose is heavy on the roasted malts, it's earthy and shows some coffee character too. In taste initially there's a pretty aparent, rather unpleasant metallic character that fortunately fades over time. Afterwards it' nothing you havent seen before: huge coffee, roasted malts, booze, liquorice, dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Closes with a bittersweet finish, has a medium to full, creamy body and soft carbonation. Apart from that unpleasant metallic character it's a pretty pleasant non-adjunct RIS.

Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some liquorice. Flavour is roasty, chocolate, definitely sweet but not excessively so. Body is thick and mouthfeel a bit sticky. This beer doesn’t stand out in any extreme way, but it’s just so incredibly well-balanced and drinkable that I love the hell out of it.

Bottle @ Patricks. Pitch black body under a fine, stable, big, creamy beige head. Strong and nice aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and pine. Taste is sweet, roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, smooth coffee, hint if vanilla, some dry fruit, good bitterness. Full bodied with long lasting, smooth and nice aftertaste. Nice classic imp stout, honest without any cheap tricks. Had this many times during the years and always ending up just enjoying and not caring for rating – time for making a rating now.

Pours black, minimum brown head. Aroma plums and dried fruits. Roasty. Taste again plums with alcohol and roastiness. Some caramel and chocolate feeling. Medium body (not enough). Not impressed, some weird balance.

0.33l bottle. Jet black body with a thin and quickly collapsing brown head. Bold chocolate notes come through first in the aroma. After that caramel, coffee, spicy hops and some plums show up. Taste of chocolate, nutmeg, coffee, prunes, bit of bourbon and lots of spicy hops. A bit thicker than medium bodied with a silky texture. Nice RIS.

Bottle. Pitch black, smaller beige head, not so lasting. Slightly woody nose, quite peaty, slightly roasted and some grains. A bit of biscuits and some chocolate. Milder sweetness, quite sharp bitterness, herbal. A bit too much. Shorter aftertaste. Not too much alcohol, quite gentle.
