Tsingtao Real Draft, on tap at the Qingdao Beer Festival. Dull straw with big bubbles. Not much head. Really doesn’t look like much. The aroma is grainy and a little bit fruity, hinting at a watery macrobrew. Flavour is malt-accented and the beer has a watery finish that drowns out a little bit of fruitiness.

bottle pours very light yellow with a thin white head that fades fast to nothing. Aroma is skunky with cat piss and sweet cereals. Flavor is sour and extremely thin. Thin ceareals and a sour finish of lingering cereals. Eh.

22 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; clear gold with a medium white head; Nose is lightly grainy with some grassy hops; flavor only very slightly sweetand grainy witha faint hop bitterness.

Marginal in every way. Grassy hops with a bit of citrus. Pours with a fizzy white heead over a yellow body. Decent retention. Tastes like rice, but decently drinkable. Watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Not horrible.

"Bomber". Aroma of noble type hop with some light malt. Gold color with a white head that came and went. Near medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. The flavor is grassy hop with light malt. A bit light on flavor, but it’s ok for the style. Finishes lightly sweetish, and the hop doesn’t really build enough to balance.

Bottle. A skunky aroma when opened. The taste is a bit skunky, but typical of a pale lager. I much prefer the original Tsingtao over this beer.

Ein sehr leichtes Bier, allerdings nur wenig wässrig. Kurz herb im Antrunk, Mittelteil leicht hopfig,wirkt recht trocken. Eine im Antrunk auftretendeSüße wird über den Mittelteil im Nachgeschmack kräftiger, ein bitteres Aroma löst dies ab. Könnte würziger sein. [Canned] Pale golden, dishwater-like head. Aroma of metal and vague fruits. Sweetish with dense mouthfeel. Notes of malt, rice and glue. The vaguest hint of grassy hops. Very light bitterness. A not too bad choice while drinking in China.
