Oktoberfest-style Beer. A rich, copper-colored Munich-style fest beer. Malty and medium-bodied, Penn Oktoberfest features nutty, toasty, slightly roasted, and caramel characteristics with a well-balanced hop bitterness. One of our most popular brews.

Clear light amber body with a thin tan head. Sweet aroma, some caramel and light malt. Sweet somewhat spicy flavor, some light malt and hints of fruit.

Penn is a brewery that I have large swings with. I love their weizen and St. Nick but the rest of their beer tend to underwhelm.+++ I put this one in the latter category. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium yellow color with a very small white head. There was a sour grainy aroma. The flavor was sour malt with a tangy finish. Ugh.

Copper/bronze colour; the palate unfortunately does not live up to the chewy-smelling, aromatically malty nose.

One of the best American-made Oktoberfests I've had. Full rich warming sweetness- yet very clean and quaffable. Color is a little off, being a light brownish color as opposed to a bright reddish amber. Only flavor drawback: a hint of a metallic taste.
